Johann Grander and the development of his water revitalisation

The term ‘water revitalisation’ has become a frequently quoted, often misunderstood and sometimes, unfortunately, a much abused phrase. But where does it really come from? It was Johann Grander himself who gave his method the name ‘wasserbelebung or ‘water revitalisation’, after he discovered changes in the behaviour of micro-organisms under the microscope, after he had treated water with his method.

To provide a more exact description of the meaning and origin of this phrase, it may be helpful to give a short insight into the 20 years and more of research carried out by Johann Grander.

The start

During the 1970s, the cold winters and the heavy physical work of a petrol station manager caused chronic joint inflammation for Johann Grander. Surgery seemed unavoidable, but he remembered a massage roller his father had invented and began to use it on himself. This massage roller is similar to a dynamo, which generates fine electrical impulses while being rolled over the skin, stimulating circulation in that part of the body. It was called a stimulation current massage device. Since this self-administered therapy led to a great improvement in Johann Grander's health, no surgery was necessary. The massage roller was also used to successfully treat the back problems of his wife Inge.

This led Johann Grander to start researching ways to improve and develop his father's invention. The ‘secret’ of the effect was to be found in the choice of quite specific magnets, made of a certain alloy and therefore able to transmit natural energies.

The experiments begin

In his mind, however, Johann Grander was already a step further. The question he studied so intently was the possibility of creating a natural energy which would be completely safe for humans – even on direct contact – and which could even be used to power conventional electrical appliances.

Over the next 10 years, Johann Grander developed ten different ‘magnetic generators’ of various designs, which generated energy of such a high frequency that they did not present any danger even when non-insulated poles were touched. He had now achieved his basic goal. The generators, which were made from natural magnets, supplied completely safe energy. However, the bureaucratic reality of those days was not yet open to ideas of this kind. The implementation of mass production foundered on the refusal of the Patent Office to grant a patent. The filed plans were rejected with the reason that ‘anticipated products are not patented’.

The discovery of water

After his first brief disappointment, Johann Grander soon recognised the possibilities for a new approach. During his research, he had continually been conducting experiments that showed that the energy conversion also worked in and under water, and because of it the water developed special properties. Day by day, as he continued his investigations, he became more convinced that the rejection of his patent was a sign to work more intensely with the element of water. So Johann Grander began to study water and to bring it more into contact with the magnetic generators he had developed.

Most of what he discovered was based on intuition and observations of nature. However, he also had one essential helper and indispensable critic who deserves special mention as a pioneer in this discovery, thanks to her superior instincts – Grander's pet cat.

It was her unusual behaviour that first drew Johann Grander's attention to the ‘revitalised water’, because now she only wanted to drink this water, rejecting all others.

Grander recognized that the combination of his generators and water allowed something special to be created, even while he wasn’t sure what it was. For instance, he found during his experiments that the properties or information he was able to communicate to the water could also be transmitted to other water – without any direct contact between the two waters, ie. without mixing them. It is this principle that today is successfully implemented in the Grander water revitalisation units.
How the way in which revitalisation works remains a secret which has never left the Grander family, as it depends on many factors which were developed over the decades of Johann Grander’s experimentation.

More and more people started visiting Grander to take away his water, first in bottles, then in larger containers. Slowly he began to recognise the importance of all the feedback he was getting, which reported success in all kinds of areas in relation to health but also reported other positive applications on plants and animals.

Under the microscope

The most important instrument in learning about the element of water and its nature for Johann Grander was the microscope. His research chalet still contains hundreds of water samples from all over the world, from the rivers Nile, Po, and Ganges and from many other sources, which he examined under the microscope to discover how the different waters of this earth behave.If a drop of his revitalized water was added to some damaged, microbiologically contaminated water, it began to regenerate. Literally, life returned to it. Benign micro-organisms began to develop again and to cleanse the water. It was this discovery that caused Johann Grander to adopt the phrase ‘water revitalisation’.

The keystone of water revitalisation

Johann Grander succeeded in improving the water structure and so creating a new, healthy environment for the benign but essential micro-organisms that should always be present in healthy water. To recognise the ‘health police of the water’, it was necessary to work at very high magnification under the microscope. The micro-organisms in a single drop are many and various, and carry out important tasks with regard to the self-cleansing of the water. However, the basic requirement for this is a stable inner structure, which allows a conducive environment for all the necessary and useful micro-organisms.

With his method of water revitalisation, Johann Grander created stability and order in the inner structure of water, and so created the right conditions for the build-up of a natural ‘immune system’ in the water, by strengthening the natural flora with the aid of useful micro-organisms in much the same way that probiotics support the positive bacteria in the gut of humans.

While the term ‘water revitalisation’ is used today to describe the different methods of treating water, Johann Grander's method is probably the only one which really deserves this name, because it is the only one which is able to literally revitalise the water and to change it in a lasting manner.
