Fish Processor - Sea Products AS
(Norway)
Fresh fish
The fish processing company, Sea Products AS has its headquarters in Hellandshamm, 50 kilometres from Ålesund on Norway's west coast. This region is a market leader in the catching, processing and export of whitefish, cod and farmed salmon.
Despite her initial scepticism, the manager, Trude Johnsen, began a test to see whether the Grander water revitalisation would be effective in a fish production facility.
The trial run was begun with light-salted cod. The control group was processed with normal fresh water, the test group with Grander revitalised water, to try and find out whether revitalised water would extend the storage life of the fish. Laboratory tests were carried out in the official state laboratory in Ålesund.
Two weeks later, the fish in the control group were no longer suitable for consumption because they contained unacceptable levels of bacteria. The fish treated with Grander Technology remained fresh for four weeks, and even at this point still had a bacteria count that was 1,000 times lower than that of the control group. The results were so clear-cut that the company immediately had a Grander unit installed in its production plant.
In addition, a smaller test was carried out to see whether the Grander Technology would be as effective with seawater. The test was carried out using herring and fish fillets. The results were just as astounding here. The herring treated in normal seawater had 10 times the bacteria count of those treated with revitalised seawater. |
