Husula Market Gardener
(Finland)
Highest annual harvest since installation of Grander Technology

Husula Garden is a market garden, founded 30 years ago in Finland, primarily intended for the growing of lettuce. While other produce such as parsley, chives and dill has joined the range, lettuce has remained the main crop.
The two most important resources for the successful management of glasshouses and market gardens are light and water. Unfortunately, the climatic conditions of northern Europe only provide light to a limited extent. This affects not only the quality of the products, but also the yield – more than enough reason to try anything to improve plant growth.
If you can’t improve the availability of light, look at improving the water supply. Manager Heikki Jakobsson had a Grander water revitalisation unit installed some time ago. ‘I now have lettuce which has enjoyed natural light and Grander water for a month. The leaves are very thick and the lettuce has more taste. It not only looks good, it also keeps longer.’ This improved growth is the result of strong, well-developed roots. Over the years, experience has shown that the use of Grander Technology increases crop yield by at least 10 percent. Heikki Jakobsson was able to record an even better yield. ‘We have recorded results which are much higher than 10 percent. In the glasshouse where we grow parsley, in more than 20 years we have never had such a healthy crop in spring. It is exceptional.’
