Textile Care Koch
(Germany)
Benefiting the environment
The textile care company Koch, in Metzingen in Germany, cleans an incredible amount of laundry per day, around eight to ten thousand kilograms of linen. Their customers include care homes, clinics, hotels and restaurants, and the wash usually requires an aggressive detergent because it is often very dirty and difficult to clean. As a consequence, Benedikt Sutter is interested in anything that helps improve the wash, and get his washing spotlessly clean.
He first became aware of the effectiveness of Grander Technology at home. His wife thought it was all humbug, but he convinced her to let him install a water revitaliser at home to see whether there was any difference in the laundry. After only a few wash loads, Mrs. Sutter had to reduce the amount of detergent she used, because her usual amount produced too many suds.
After this successful test, Grander Technology was installed at the company, with the result that detergent use was reduced by 15 percent. ‘The Grander unit paid for itself after six months, and I am saving around 12,000 Euros a year, quite apart from the fact that the laundry is now a lot softer and cleaner.’ Based on this experience, Benedikt Sutter recommends the use of Grander Technology to every laundry, ‘…even though I compete with them. But it benefits the environment and therefore all of us.’ |
