Bacteria count falls to zero
The company of OCÉ near Munich specialises in copying and printing. Axel Bürck, responsible for building management and supply engineering there, had been trying for years to cope with the water problems. Hall 52, in particular, was affected. We hold fairs and events here, but at irregular intervals the water supply is left standing, maybe for a week or more, and it is during this period that bacterial contamination arises.’
To cope with these problems, the pipes were first rinsed regularly with fresh water, which temporarily allowed the bacteria count to reduce to zero again. However this was not ideal as far as Axel Bürck was concerned, and he looked for a longer-term solution, which is when he came across Grander water revitalisation.
Internal records for the company document the following facts: In February 2001, the bacteria count was 3,240 colony-forming units; in March, after rinsing with fresh water, the values fell, only to rise again in April. Grander Technology was installed in May 2001 and in June and July the values only increased slightly. From August, however, they fell steadily to zero and have remained there ever since. ‘Now we have no more problems with bacteria, and that's what counts,’ says Axel Bürck proud of his success in finding a solution to the problem. |
