Grander carwash at Mercedes
Peter Christiani is the carwash manager for the Wiesenthal Mercedes dealership in the 10th Viennese district. When a Grander water revitaliser was installed some two years ago, he was more than skeptical, but the results have convinced him otherwise. ‘We had the same washing results even though we had cut back on additives. It was as if the water suddenly had more cleaning power.’
An additional positive effect was that the walls of the carwash were less affected by limescale than before, and the company was able to replace the aggressive cleaning agents previously with more gentle, less damaging ones.
Peter Christiani's initial reservations about Grander were completely reversed by the fact that the annual servicing of the steam jet was no longer necessary. ‘The technician told me that there was no scaling in the steam boiler so it wasn’t necessary to clean it.’
Because the company of Wiesenthal is very committed to environmental protection, they kept detailed records of energy consumption, and changes that occurred after the installation of Grander. ‘We have an environmental team that keeps detailed records of the data and figures, and we found that we have saved 50 percent on chemicals. When you consider that we wash around 12,000 cars a year here, that is a huge amount.’ |
