Energy consumption
(Dreikönig estate Innsbruck / Austria)

The high-rise pioneer

The Innsbruck Dreikönig estate is made up of three residential buildings with fifty apartments each, and for four years the administration of the buildings, including the central heating, has been in the hands of Karl Stemmberger.

Advised by a friend to install a Grander water revitaliser, he found it no easy task to convince the residents of this idea. Some were familiar with Grander Technology, some were sceptical, and others knew nothing about it. Finally a decision was made and the first Grander unit was installed at Reichenauerstrasse 100.

Karl Stemmberger kept an eye on the consumption of energy, monitoring the central heating costs. Although all three residential buildings had the same patterns of use, the building with Grander Technology was using around 10 percent less energy than in the previous year.

It was this impressive result that convinced the residents at Burkert-Breitnerstrasse 13 to finally install a Grander device. One keen supporter of the idea, Alois Marta, was familiar with the name of Grander following a stay at a health clinic. ‘Since getting used to the revitalised water, I can practically drink no other,’ he enthuses. ‘In addition, we use a lot less energy for the heating, because the specific heat capycity of the revitalised water is lower.’

Another resident, Heinz Weber, is delighted with the clean tiles and taps in his bathroom. ‘The water is a lot softer and there is no more scaling on the tiles, and the taps, which we had planned to replace, now work perfectly again.’
